No, it is not whisper quiet, but it is extreamly discrete and hands free! I used this pump through 2 children, and lent it to my best friend through her 2. When a woman puts it on, you cannot see that she is wearing a pump at all. You'll need to purchase some rechargable batteries, as it goes through these like crazy. Also, all supplies must be whisper wear. But it is quite worth it. I would take it to work, and pump right in my office. People could hear the small pumps working, but just looked around for the souce and when they could not find it, just ignored it. I have very few questions, and I did not have to take extended breaks! I was able to feed my kids exclusively breast milk while they were in a sitter's care and I was working! Priceless!!! I highly recomend this pump!

I liked the fact that this pump was hands free and portable other than that it was pretty much a disappointment. Although it is called Whisper Wear it is not whisper quiet. It is quite noisy. The biggest problem with this pump is that you cant see your nipples while pumping which can lead to lots of ineffective pumping. Also it runs through batteries like crazy and you have to purchase the ac adapter separately.

I do not recommend this pump. Everytime I used it to pump it would pinch my nipples. I tried recentering it over my nipples - thinking that it would help, but I was never able to pump without wencinng. I finally ended up renting an Ameda pump from my LC.
